Watercolor, ink and charcoal pencils on Moleskine Book
Trying to express how to feels to live with a weak spine. Like having a rosebush going through your back... hurting with thorns and weak like roses you can easily cut.
I don't have a critical medical condition, but my spine has always been weak. I had to go through a lot of medical treatments, ending up with surgery.
I wish I would have been informed better on spine problems. I could have avoided a lot of pain. The problem is that when people (even doctors!) don't see visible injuries they assume that you have nothing... especially when it comes to the spine. And when you're not informed about spine problems, you can lose a lot of time, suffering in silence. Months after you end up with a critical problem that could have been easily solved if it had been treated sooner.
If you're in the same situation, please don't give up and be strong!
